Darker is not cooler
The most common mistake we see: choosing the darkest shade thinking it is the coolest. Darkness gives privacy; heat rejection comes from the film's construction. A light nano ceramic film can reject more heat than a dark standard film.
Three numbers tell you everything
TSER: total solar energy rejected, the real cooling number.
IRER: infrared rejected, the heat you feel on your arm through the glass.
VLT: visible light transmission, the privacy and shade number, not the cooling one.
Ask for the reading in front of you
A printed sheet is not enough. At Trust Car Care we put the film on the meter in front of you. Our darkest film, Shade (Zhil), read about 93% TSER, 94.6% IRER and 7.3% VLT. Because darkness is not the measure, we read the shade you actually choose, even a lighter one, the same way before fitting.

What matters after the film
Fitting: dust-free glass, edges cut to the glass, and enough curing time. The best film fitted badly gives you bubbles and lifted edges within a month.
Before you decide
Ask about the film and where the warranty is registered, and ask for the TSER of the shade you will actually fit, not the darkest one in the catalogue. Confirm the shades permitted for each window before fitting.
